Jeseník nad Odrou [ Village or Town/City ]
The village of Jeseník nad Odrou was founded by the cloister in Rajhrad during the so called Moravian colonization in the 12th century. It is situated in lowland at the foot of Nízké (Low) Jeseníky, along both sides of the valley of the Luha River, which flows into Odra.
Cadaster of the village is situated in the southwestern part of Protected Landscape Area Poodří, the only Jeseník lies in the northwestern direction of Nový Jičín. Jeseník nad Odrou of today includes in sum five villages that united gradually namely in 1957 Hrabětice was connected to Jeseník nad Odrou, in 1975 Polouvsí and in 1976 Blahutovice and Hůrka.
Plní funkci základního stupně územní samosprávy a v různé míře je také vykonavatelem státní správy.
